Dear Editor, Myeloid sarcoma (MS) is an uncommon extramedullary tumour of malignant myeloid cells which predominantly occurs concurrently with or after the onset of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). Careful clinicopathological correlation with comprehensive immunophenotyping of the malignant cells is essential to distinguish myeloid sarcoma from lymphoma with skin involvement. The early recognition of cutaneous MS is important because a late diagnosis is associated with poor prognosis.1 We report a case of MS with unusually fl orid and rapidly progressive skin manifestations.
